The first gin cocktail I ever drank?

Weirdly enough when me and my friends first started heading into town we all started drinking Gin and Tings! Not a bad one to start off with considering before this it was probably a sip of a Gordon's and Schweppes at a family party. Ting became a staple for quite a while after that.

First gin cocktail you ever made?

My bartending career started in a great Tiki bar called Aloha. Going from Gin and Tings to Mezcal and Agricole Rum was a big leap, but we had a great Tiki drink on the menu called a Saturn. Gin, fresh lemon, almonds, passionfruit and falernum. Tiki heaven but anyone who had a penchant for gin loved it.

Favourite gin cocktail at 7pm?

I'll have to go with a Martinez. Short, dry and lively, perfect to start the evening. However depending on who my partner in crime is this can always alter.

Favourite gin cocktail at 10pm?

After dusk has fallen who can say no to a Martini? There is a high chance of finding me in a bar around the corner from my house called Berry & Rye, often propping up the bar with my fellow Gin Guardian 'Cocktail Kate' as we put the world to rights. However the ‘rights’ we scribble on cocktail napkins are regularly a touch hazy the following morning.

Favourite bar in the world?

Depending on who I'm with this could be my local at the end of the road or the most dazzling drinks den on the planet. Personally however I have to go with Maison Premiere in Brooklyn. Visited during a blisteringly hot August in 2015 and as I stepped into their garden (which got an honourable mention off Baz Luhrmann when accepting his Oscar for Romeo & Juliet)I was blown away. It harnesses amazing drinks, staff and decor and during happy hour you get one dollar oysters, how could that ever end badly?
